….Well Almost!
Envirocare Grounds Maintenance’s James Nelson has just returned from a weekend in Sweden for his friends’ wedding! Staying there from Friday for 3 days, James tells us “it was wonderful…the only downside was it just wasn’t long enough!”
Starting with a days sightseeing in Stockholm, going to the Royal Palace in the Old Town and travelling along the Norrstrom River.
Then travelling onto to the remote Island of Uto, just off the East Coast of Sweden which is where the location for the actual wedding, or Brollop, would be taking place. Totally emersing themselves in the traditions of a Swedish Wedding, James tell us “one of the most random traditions has to be that they have 12 speeches during the meal!” James tells us of another Swedish tradition which no one seemed unhappy to get involved in! “It is tradition to kiss the bride or groom whenever the other leaves the room!”.
