What a great day for the Envirocare Grounds Maintenance Directors – Phil and Dave, who travelled to Bristol on the Chorley Football Club team coach to watch them play against Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn.
After and exciting 210 minutes over the course of two matches, it was still a stalemate after this replay and had to come down to spot-kicks, which saw Chorley take a massive scalp in the FA Trophy with a penalty shoot-out victory over the Skrill Premier title favourites.
With successful spot kicks from James Dean, Darren Stephenson and Dale Whitham and three saves from Sam Ashton – Chorley was put into the third round, which will be played on 11th January 2014 at our home ground.
