After fourteen games without defeat giving Chorley Football Club a club record of 13 consecutive wins, Barwell broke their hearts with a two-one win at Victory Park on Saturday.
While Barwell battled for every ball – two cheaply conceded goals cost the Magpies their top spot!
The ever impressive Adam Mather narrowed the gap with a superb free-kick and Darren Stephenson thought he’d equalised but his goal was disallowed.
But now is not the time to wallow – the team need to regroup, refocus and begin again with Ramsbottom United the first side in target tonight, in the Lancashire Challenge Trophy.
